Description
The legendary Zeiss 50 Sonnar in Leica M mount, including box and papers, in excellent condition perfect optics and working order, aligned with the rangefinder on all 3 of the M bodies I have had (M6, M7, M8) and seems calibrated to f2. Some very light wear on the anodised coating on the body barely visible in pictures is the only thing stopping this lens from being rated mint. Focus action is lovely and solid.
Apologies for the light dust in one image, I couldn't see it at the time and it blew straight off before boxing up.
Only reason for sale is that I find I am just not a bokeh sort of person, the sort of subject isolation this lens is legendary for is not really what I am in to. My go to 50 is the Leica elmar-m collapsible. If you have never had one though now is your chance to try a legend.
