I love headhunters... I just wish they would read their fishing emails before they hit the send button. This from my inbox this morning:

"...Honestly, I find your profile reasonably captivating and impressive. ..."

    I'm reasonably flattered...!

I hate them too, well I used to before I got a proper job.

As this is the watering hole, I will vent.

The worst experience I ever had was with a firm that shall remain anonymous. They phoned me several times over the years with the following proposition. They would point out that I had relevant industry experience for the position they were trying to fill and ask if there was anyone I knew in my network of contacts who I could recommend to them as a candidate.

If I then pointed out that following their logic, I would be a good candidate, they always pointed out that I couldn't possibly be and refused to consider me. So, I was good enough to help assist them in the head-hunting but not good enough to be put before their client.

Obviously, as I have got older and ageism has kicked in (so that no one in their right mind would want to employ someone with aeons of experience) they have stopped calling. But if they ever do again...
