A few random shots that I snapped today wandering around the Medieval Fayre at Blacktown in Sydney today with the family. It's been running for 10 years now, and I never knew it. Can't wait for next years. Lots of fun!

    I mostly used the E-P5 with 14-42 II R. A couple with the X100s.

Unfortunately I missed it last year because I was overseas, but I hope to make it to this year's Abbey Museum Medieval Festival in Brisbane. I've had an interest in history for as long as I can remember and festivals like these are great fun to attend.

Nice set. Very authentic looking teeth in #1.

This weekend there was a medieval fair in Copenhagen, and we went for the first time. It was quite fun with a lot of different stands selling medieval stuff.

It was also really cool to see the tiny blacksmith shop in action.

They even had a full-contact melee tournament! Everyone was wearing armor and the swords weren't sharp of course, but you could hear they went at it hard. From what I could gather you were "dead" when you went down, so there were some really hard "shield to the back of the head" charges. Kinda glad I didn't have to do that, but they looked to have a good time with it.

They also had a joust! The lances were made of something really flimsy and noone was dismounted, but it was a good show.

I only brought the RX100 to keep things light, but that little camera keeps impressing me every time I take it out.

Been a while since I've been to one of these, but I have fond memories.
