Weird question of the day (week, month) Just unboxed the kit w/grip. The whole thing smells like a cross between Raid bug spray and Febreze. I don't know if it's off gassing of the packaging materials or the leatherette covering, it's mostly prominent on the battery grip and manual bag. Anyone else with this?

The odor appears to be strongest on the eyecup. Wondering if that's that antistatic coating they claim eliminates dust attraction.

I believe that is the smell, something they've treated the eyecup with as they tout that lint/dust does not stick to it. I also have an EC-XT L, long eyecup for the X-T1 and that is identical to the X-H1 cup but it has lint all over it and has a stickier surface and no odor.

  6. Have you contacted your dealer or Fuji about this???

I've not. This is why I asked here and no-one has corroborated findings so it may be an isolated issue.

Take the eyecup off and see if the rest is better after a short time.
