Nikon UV filter for P900? Maybe not.

Tried a Tiffen UV Protector 67mm filter for the P900. In head-to-head comparisons, the filter degrades both the contrast and the sharpness of the image.

it's my understanding that modern digital sensors are not very sensitive to UV light.

I havent bothered with UV filters on my superzooms. The lens barrel already stretches the friendship a long way, adding UV (or other) filter is not worth the effort.
