I participated in the first Urban Photo Race in Rotterdam. I did not have a clue what to expect and wasn't really prepared (forgot to bring a notebook and chargers (as you have to use your phone to navigate)). It is really a fun activity that challenges your creativity! You get six themes and have to shoot 3 photos for each theme. Sounds easy but it is not. You also have to check in at four checkpoints during the day. At the end of the day (before 10PM) you have to send in 18 photos. Here are some of my shots. If you follow the link, you will see more. Saturday June 10th the Urban Photo Race will be in Amsterdam. If you're interested: see Urban Photo Race. I can highly recommend it
BTW: all shots taken with PEN-F and 25mm 1.2 lens (last one with 17mm 1.8 lens)

  2. Interesting concept, a photo race. Who wins? First in with the photos?

Cool! Nice to see my hometown through your eyes, also. Since I live in Amsterdam now, I'd like to participate this coming weekend... not sure if my GF will appreciate it though, since we planned to have a relaxed weekend at home :hide:

It is a rather relaxed race although you have to be at a checkpoint between a specific time frame to qualify. A professional jury assesses and selects winning photos per theme.

I was looking through "theme" eyes, which makes it very interesting to me (as said, never thought it would). You won't regret going to the UPR Amsterdam! If you decide to do so, let me know. It would be great to meet!
