DP review has a link to a giveaway of Perfect Effects 8. ON1 Effects 2021 – ON1 So I downloaded it and played with it.
Here is the original photo (which is cross posted under Spring's a-poppin), which I took because of the contrast of the red flowers with the branches of the bush
Here it is after increasing contrast and saturation with DXO 9
and here it is after boosting color, contrast, and a bit of faux HDR treatment with Perfect Effects 8
I have to say the Perfect Effects version is closer to what I saw in the magic of my mind.
