Micro 4/3 The Oldest pool in the UK

Cotswolds, UK
This is the oldest open air swimming pool in the UK - 143yrs old!

The pool used to be the bath house for the personal bodyguard for the Earl, their barracks was the castle you can see behind the far wall in the distance.

It is a real sun trap and is still filled by it's own well, it is open between May & Sep only.

In between seasons the pool undergoes thorough maintenance to include painting etc.

It is a real sun trap and offers hot food & drink so families can make a day of it.

None, if you don't count H2O, though they might have used vinegar to clean the pool itself when empty to scrub the surfaces, but even that'd be quite unusual. Anyhow, I like the picture of the pool - nice scenic capture :)

Sorry, there was supposed to be a smiley at the end of the sentence. I would like to know what they did to keep the water from stagnating.
