The moon with the Q

    Shot the moon from inside through the window. Olympus OM-systen F.Zukio 300/4.5 at 5.6. No cropping, converted to black and white to loose the red and green fringing.

    With 2x teleconverter, full contrast and structure in SFX. Went for portrait mode to fit the moon in the picture.

    You must live at a high altitude. I don't think 300mm would ever get me that close to the moon. Thanks for sharing the photos!
  3. Its the crop factor of the Q plus the 300... I can only get a small moon with my 300 and DSLR :-/

    Exactly right. 300mm on an original Q gives you a field of view of something like 1500mm. Good stuff.
