For those who’d like to know: this concludes a theme within my theme. Day 9 featured the courthouse in Maastricht, day 10 the courthouse in Utrecht and this image features the courthouse in Roermond. Back to my regular free programming of October Skies. Where I limit myself by including an earthbound object, without showing the earth itself.

Well, you probably remember my SiO Nine posting, link below:
    SiO 2018 - Day Nine.

Mikael Agricola was mentioned, well, here is church named after him, then :D

The spike on top of the bell tower can be lovered down inside the bell tower. It’s done once, during the WWII. When Russian bombers attacked Helsinki, it would have been too attractive aiming point if left up.

I’m really enjoying your series, and find the stories that go with the images very informative. Well done!

Once the morning rain had cleared a short walk took me to Cleavehouse Barn, rather the worse for wear.

Home to Barn Owls, witness the pellets on the floor, particularly at the far end where there is also a nest box.

No work today. Spent a lot of time playing with the GR’s raw converter. The best of any camera I’ve owned. It’s nice to see the changes you make as you make them. Is the GR the only camera that does this ?

Revisited a spot I haven't gone to for nearly two years. This is outside a derelict pub in Nottingham.

Been trying to catch this with the sun on it but had to step back into the road to get it. Could have done with a 28 instead of 35.

Pretty ropey effort to shoot a rainbow through a rainy window. But the rainbow was undeniably impressive (and it’s all I’ve got for today!)

A little bit of sunshine before a Low Front and the Remnants of Hurricane Michael clash overhead. The new athletic fields on campus will look much better come next summer.
