Had to get a blood test this morning so took the opportunity to go a little further afield than usual for me of late. This is a shot of the Marmong Point Marina and a little of Lake Macquarie. A dismal day all round, really. We've gone from the sublime to the ridiculous in terms of weather...

Was messing around with exposure brackettingon the GR. Took the coffee shot just now and GR was still set to bracket.
Was surprised by the qualty for a 1/6, 1/10 and 1/20 seconds bracket hand held. Used Franzis HDR Projects Pro 5 and Piccure+.

Heavy rain in the first part of the night, then clearing skies, led to mist lying over the lower fields this morning.
For our UK listeners, the smoke in the distance is from the Tyrells crisps factory.

Life is not all monochrome, nor do I spend everyday in Wellington boots walking muddy lanes. This is the classic "touristy" shot of Kingsbridge, although in mid winter, albeit on a very pleasant sunny morning.

A little bit of street today ...

Today, I almost broke the camera - it slipped out of my hand and dropped. Thankfully, it hit my foot before rolling onto the sidewalk. It seems unscathed except for some tiny marks ... I guess I was very lucky there.

Another dull day with early drizzle turning to persistent rain unlike the weather Martin and Barrie seem to have had in the west of the country.
Took this shot of our winter flowering Jasmine as the drizzle was starting and stayed put the rest of the day!

You guys and Gals are doing great. Hang in there . Guess I tweaked my back a little worse than I thought. I walked with only moderate pain today so hopefully soon back to normal. Was informed I have a lot of arthritis in my low back. Wonder why I hate cold weather. Duh

Day 10 - the wrong land

“Stuck in ‘wrong’ land?”, he asked.
“Yup”, I replied, “That’s it!”

Who’d have thought that on a cold, dark, damp day in January, when the only daylight I see is a brief moment on my morning commute because my work scuffs up my lunch break with a hearty appetite, that finding something “wrong” to talk about is actually more challenging than finding a picture for SiJ. Hate to say it but, despite my rumbling tummy, I had a good day!
