Sigma Show me your DP3 shots, please

I'd be interested to know if they are also being heavily discounted in the USA - maybe we are the lucky one here in the UK?

The original price was $899.... they are selling for $699 in the US (and Amazon is flooded with Japanese gray market ones for $549). I was hoping with those cheap imports it would kick down the used market to around the $450 mark for a minty used one.

Been umming and aahhhing about adding the DP1M. I am tempted to wait for the DP1Q just to add variety and see if I like the new body type.

However, the discussion over at GetDPI is that the IQ is not as good as the Merrill versions.

Have to wait and see. I still think there are probably lots of DP1Ms in the channel so I'm not in any great hurry.

One of those shots that just land in your lap.

I would also be interested, especially since currently I can get one pretty darned inexpensively.

My self and a friend were shooting fall photos (linked in my first post) and as we were sizing up our next shot. This Dad and daughter came up to shoot. He took a couple then handed the camera to her, she set up and took at least 4 shots, then handed the camera back to dad. He then moved to the right leaned against the wall and started composing some shots. She sat down and leaned up against him. I almost walked off but turned around planted my tri-pod and barely got the lens opened up to F 2.8 and got one good shot off.

It was like watching this new photographer in the process of blooming..!
