I did a double take when I downloaded this from the camera. A little Boost from Topaz Adjust to brighten the scene, and some light cloning to reinforce the optical illusion, and I give you - "The Bean Dissolves into the Sky."

Grass Lake in Minnesota

The right light can make a photo, and it certainly helped here. It was coming in low and through trees, leaving light and dark contrasts on the near tree.

This photo embodies everything I've been loving about my RX100 II:

• Flip-out LCD to allow discreet waist-level shooting.
• Good dynamic range to allow lifting of shadows to recover details (boy's face).
• Very good high ISO performance.
• Fast f/1.8 aperture for low light shooting.
