Fuji Shop-Built Ring-Flash Adapter Improves Digicam Close-ups

When I first ventured into digital photography a decade ago, I purchased a Leica Digilux 4.3 (a Fujifilm 4700 with a German accent), a terrific little digicam with a collapsing lens. When I tried to make product close-up shots, I ran into trouble. My new camera couldn't mate with my favorite ring strobe and it didn't accept a cable release or electronic remote shutter release. I sucessfully solved these problems by building a gadget. Read about this in Shop-Built Ring-Flash Adapter Improves Digicam Close-ups, available at: ringflash.pdf

I read the article with great enjoyment, as a re-inventor myself. I am always looking for ways to improve on production products. They did't ask me, before designing it, so "got it wrong", is my stock answer to those that ask, "why".

Thanks for sharing.
