    The gap between the sapling and the feeder is at least 12 inches.


    This fellow regularly makes the leap to the feeder and back again.


    Now here's the question: Can he get any more seed in that cheek or will his head explode?

    This Grey Squirrel (a US species that has taken over in the UK) must share the thieving gene with your example. You've got to admire their ingenuity though.
