Another amazing off-trail adventure. We took a different route, and went further along the plateau before scrambling to the top of the western end of the mesa.
The views were outstanding in all directions, with clear skies and fluffy clouds. Seeing out 150 miles, with nearby and distant mountain ranges, offered a tremendous difference in perspective.
We then descended to just below the cliffs, traversed back to the chimney, and climbed up to the top.
We got some rain on the way down, but managed to avoid the thunderstorms.
As always, the deep connections with Nature, along with the stillness and solitude, made for a marvelous experience at all levels.
