I've always wanted a foveon camera. Now that the DP2M/DP3M are in the mid $300(USD) range, I'm seriously thinking of getting one. The DP1M is still more pricey. I've had my finger over the "buy" button for a few days now. But I've noticed a couple of people selling their DP2M/DP3M off in the for sale forum. Is the DP2M/DP3M a worthy addition still?

I have a DP3M and will "never" sell it - they are unique as at today ……. and a genuine "steal" at the street price

maybe needs a little tender loving PP ……but as a 3 shot Pano …… it just shows the potential and the detail on a full image is amazing

If you can get one that cheap, I wouldn't hesitate. I see plenty of them selling in the $450-$500 range. The IQ is frankly mind boggling when you stick to base ISO. I still think they are a very niche camera, but within that niche, there is nothing else like them.
  4. Where did you see them in the 300$ range?
