The P7100 was reduced recently & was very tempting & capable too. The 7700 images look even better but I don't know why the P7700 doesn't have a viewfinder

There's a clear case of "its not the camera, its the user".

The P7xxx series had a VF, it was a tiny tunnel like the one in the Canon G series. No loss not having it.
