I really wanted a K-1 badly - but the budget would have to stretch a bit far for that. When I saw the silver Ricoh-anniversary edition K-3ii was available I went for that. I'll miss a few of those K-1 features, but having PxShift capablilty in the camera + motion correction for same on the computer (Pentax/silkypix software) was too tempting to ignore.

My lens plan was simple: a 16-85 or silver 20-40, whichever I saw below $500. Adorama dumped the 'demo' grade Limited zoom, and it arrived the same day as the camera. A spare battery came a day before that with USB charger, so I cannot complain about timing!

congrats. i have a weatherproof ks2 and weatherproof 20-40. that lens is very underrated. i love mine, has great pop, color and clarity. the kit renders closer to ccd than any cmos ive used. i couple it with the 77/1.8 limited which is an outstanding portrait lens and im good to go anywhere. pentax makes some great looking, high quality equipment. best of luck.
