Mrs L and I have recently returned from Moscow - well, I say recently. We were there at the beginning of March, just as the whole Crimea thing was coming to a head. It was interesting to read the local (English language) newspapers and to see the way that demonstrations were treated - it was basically pro-Putin good, pro-Ukraine bad - at least as far as the riot police snatch-squads were concerned.

I took my GR, and my X-E1 with just the 14, 18-55 and 35mm lenses. Much of what we saw I shot in colour, but I do think that Moscow in Winter lends itself nicely to moody mono.

See if you agree...
