I don't think I'll ever sell my M8.2. It was the only camera I carried with me everywhere for more than two years. I learnt how to take photos with that and a single Voigtlander 35mm f/1.4 all that time.
I don't really know much about focus shift, much less on the f/1.1. I have taken mostly wide open with that lens but the ones where I've stopped down have been sharp and in proper focus. I've come to appreciate this lens a lot more after using the Zeiss ZE 50mm f/1.4 which is quite a bit softer at f/1.4. After using the Zeiss, I've come to appreciate the f/1.1 and how sharp it is wide open.
