I scanned some old negatives on the Pacific Image XAs, one thing I've noticed is that the color film profiles on that scanner produce extremely vivid colors compared to the lab colors one usually gets. But, I kinda like them.
There's a rumor that Fujifilm's newest iteration of their 200 speed film is just good ol' Gold 200, which isn't the worst thing, though I never got to try their well-regarded C200.
