Let's get a few threads rolling!!!

Not sure where to put this shot

But quite a lot of my time in winter is occupied by the following as I "feed" three wood burning stoves, (it's "hard" here in rural France with no central heating)

no beauty, but taken with my M8 plus Zeiss 28mm f2.8 Biogon, which is my preferred lens with the M8

I haven't seen a wood stove, but I had a coal stove growing up and love a real wood fireplace. Unfortunately my current house only has the fake gas type. Can we see what the stoves look like?

My preferred lens on the M8 is also a 28mm - in my case the Voigtlander Ultron 28/2.0. I know that 28mm on the M8 is supposed to be something like 37mm on full frame, but I compared my M8 and 28mm to my brother's M9P and 35mm Summilux - the field of view in the resulting image was the same as far as I could tell.

Amin

I also have an Ultron which I am quite fond of, both on M43 and the M8

but it is the 35mm f1.7

I have a Summarit 35mm f2.5 which I have never really "got used to" and I always feel that I should sell it as I always go back to the Zeiss ............ maybe if I had an M9 I could get used to it!!!!

(Stove images to follow - it's almost 7pm here and we are off out to dinner!!)
