Hello everyone,

My name is David Liles. My fiancé purchased a Nikon 1 V1 and we are getting the hang of it. I've always been a DSLR person my self not sure I like the heavily menu driven system. We do Nature photography mostly but I'm into Astrophotography and need to find a way to operate the camera without the lens attached. I have an adaptor that attaches to the camera and allows the camera to fit my telescope focuser. Any tips on getting the camera to operate in pure manual mode without feedback from a lens?
