Too cold for hawks that day, so tele-zoom went unused. A few snaps with the E-PL3 and 15mm bodycap lens.

Ed, you show how much more important a good composition is than the "right" lens.

Thanks, Luke. I really love the lens, it frees the mind to focus on things like composition!

Ed, my wife grew up in Linden and we met while we were both working there. In spite of that, I've never heard of Hawkrise Sanctuary. Where is it??

    p.s. Love the images!

p.p.s. Found it - a new oasis in the middle of one of the most heavily industrialized areas in the country. What a gem! Thanks for sharing your special vision of it.

Chuck, the area is definitely heavily industrialized, it is in the middle of reclaimed land from one of the Kills, and is right next to a huge fuel storage facility and some gas processing plants that dot Linden as you know. The only reason I discovered it because it is right across the Friends of Linden Animal Shelter where my wife and I volunteer. thanks for the comments on the photos.
