I am seriously looking at this lens and the 50 2 as My next lens purchases. The 23 gives me the 35mm walk around and I'm a little more up in the air on the 50 but I believe the 50 may be a good match for my Godox system that's coming together.
I have the 35 and 50 f2's and love them. Enough that I have a 23mm f2 on it's way.
Yep, got my eye on the 35 also but the 50 gets me in portrait range, although I have a 55 Nikon that does a decent job adapted. We'll see. I love the 35 2 images I see on here. I hope to start drawing some retirement in March so maybe I will round out the collection then.
23mm and some random shots in late evening Dallas downtown
@Tim Williams I use the 35 and 50 equally for portraits. But if you are getting the 23mm, the 50mm will make a great pair. Then you can add the 35mm.
I'm back to my favorite Fuji lens, after using the 35 WR all month for the Serious Compacts SiJ challenge. The 35 renders beautifully, but I found the FOV too constricting. It sold this morning, and I'll be shipping it out this afternoon.
I need to work more with the 23 now that the SIJ is over. I used to live and die by wider angle lenses. Now the 35, 50, and 90 are my natural focal lengths and wide has become a challenge.
I shot with my 16 and 35 this morning, but nothing worth posting. I feel the 23 calling me.
