From a discussion on dpr which began for two reasons:
    1. When viewing the FW version page, some people have OIS ver 1.0 and others have OIS ver 2.0, and it was thought that it might be changed by a firmware upgrade.

    2. Some people thought there had been almost no FW updates supplied for the EX1, and no one knew what changes the FW upgrades made.

I decided to try to summarise this for my own knowlege and here is the chart:

    How to check firmware version:
    Down+Shutter+Turn On

I have just tested and uploaded a new RAR file containg all known FW upgrade files for the EX1. I have tested all of them in my camera and still have OIS 1.0, so probably not much point everyone doing this.

But if you are looking for a particular archived upgrade other than the latest from the samsung site, then you can download it here:

Thanks for the heads-up Brian. Firefox didn't trust your second link so here is one direct to the Samsung site.

    EX1 Firmware.

That one only gets the latest FW, unfortunately samsung do not keep a historic archive of all previous versions, my link is to a RAR file containing all known FW updates for the EX1. Hopefully you will never need them.

There's nothing wrong with that link. It's a trusted site. Update your security to reflect that. In fact, the source of that hosting site is Herman's thread here. I got an invite from Herman, gave Brian an invite.

The other problem with linking to Samsung is they never put all the versions in the same place. Sometimes they appear on Samsung De, Samsung Canada, and so on. Or like with the last one, they didn't even date it properly. Or the second to last one, where they released two at the same time and left us to figure out which one was the latest. This company is pretty much a disaster.
