For a little while now the 43rumors site has reported a "high end fixed lens" compact is coming from Olympus ... so I am thinking what they could be up to.

So factor in the business alignment with Sony my thoughts are:

Similar form factor to XZ-2 but probably with EVF, probably a bit bigger - please do not try to make it a pocket camera! For me a decent camera should have some "serious presence", not be a slippery, tiny gadget.

Sony 1" sensor like the RX100, to step up from the 1.7 sensor crowd and compete with Nikon V1, Canon GX-1

Toss on a miniaturized version of the renowned 12-60 4/3, starting at f1.8.

Could not care less about a swivel LCD because I would ten times rather have weather sealed construction.:D

My all-in-one, go everywhere with me, camera.

So now just wait until August-September to find out ...

Nice specs. But not sure how "compact" it can be with a 1" sensor and a 24-120mm EFL starting at f1.8. Unless the long end is something like f6.3 or worse.

Flip LCD would be nice. Great for selfies, especially when traveling.
