dof simulator web page

    I did not build this, just found it.

    I have not verified the accuracy of what is being output, as far as the numbers, but at face value it appears to be a good learning/teaching tool for those looking to understand the relationship between focus distance, aperture and background distance.

    you should be able to figure it out...
    Pretty cool. Assuming it's reasonably accurate, it could be really helpful for someone who's new to all of this and is having trouble with the concepts involved, particularly as sensor sizes and focal lengths change... I don't think it's any sort of substitute for a DOF calculator, but as a companion / visual aid, pretty good idea...

    Just my opinion but I think that 'newbies' would come away from that website shaking their heads and vowing never to mess with DoF! I took one look at the sliders and thought 'to hell with this, I'm off to shoot some frames'. :hmmm:
