Love the perspective. The spider web looks almost like... pixie dust?

First time I've ever encountered a praying mantis "in the wild".

I am what God made me. And so I pray... for prey.

    Moulting Turnstone

I've picked up the FZ200 again, this is uncropped, an adult Turnstone moulting to winter plumage captured at Mount Batten Pier on this mornings high tide

  7. Looks really good to me, Barrie. I think, of the small sensor superzooms, the Pannys are the best. Maybe not the longest, but they are the best of the genre (IMO). Here, it looks like a really sharp capture. Love it.

Great shot, lovely detail! This is a poster child for "Ask yourself - do you really need a DSLR?"

It's the pattern of the carpet. Or are you referring to her leg? Maybe I threw the background TOO out of focus with my shallow DOF.

Or are you referring to her widow's peak? And speaking of distractions, I was going to clone out her leash at upper left, but it's just a quickie grab shot.....nothing important.
