This is it. GM1 & Ricoh GR for the pocket and as the wide angle solution. DF and A7r systems with one e-mount lens and a mix of m-lenses and a few selected Nikkors. The DP2M will stay as well as every enthusiast ought to have a Merrill. I have the DF since a few days and its sensor has that magic. It`s definitely a keeper for many many years. And yes, I love its looks with MF Nikkors.
Love the Df looks and capabilities. Meh on the Sony. If I was going full frame, it would be the Df -- but I'm not so it's academic, lol.
The headline seems to imply all will be departing except for two. The text indicates all five will be staying. I'm confused... I think I believe the text though... -Ray
Had to read it a couple times myself. I think you are right. Dad (assuming the Df) Mom (a7?) and Junior (has to be the GM1), then two others. One is the DPm the other is the Ricoh GR. The question is, who are the drunk relatives still on the coach who are getting shown the door
That`s how it was meant. A happy family of three plus the two odd cousins, the DP2M and the GR. The relatives is the other camera gear which I still have but which will be sold.
The GR is classic and timeless and amazing. The Df just might be too. I have my Sigma DP2M listed for sale at a good price and no takers at all yet. It might stay after all.
The Ricoh GR and DP2M take the same batteries and the Ricoh wide angle adapter works on the DP2M as well. Not a bad light weight travel combo, two bodies, one wide angle adapter, one charger, four focal lengths, 21, 28, 34 and 45mm equivalent.
Really? I mean honestly do they all fit each other? Hmmm…. I been agonising over my normal to complement the GR - the Pentax dSLR is just not quite cutting it. This sounds promising. Very promising….
OMG I still can't believe how small that GM1 is....this must be the best IQ-to-size ratio camera going now.
If I had a dollar for every time anyone said "this is it" in relation to their collection of cameras...
Of course, that's EXACTLY how they camera companies stay in business! They get a dollar (or more) every time someone does say that.
