You folks may have seen this on the national news, but the place where the man is standing and all the vehicles were parked in #3 slid over the hill later yesterday. A vacant home below was buried, Elk Two Mile creek blocked, and the road that runs through the valley below the airport covered. The slip continued through the day and into the night, and a church was demolished and pushed into the creek when a subsequent shifting took place around 1:00am today. We are continuing to get rain, and the mountain continues to shift, with news and emergency personnel reporting continued rumbling from the hillside. Here's a link to what the church looks like now, plus a link to other photos, including an aerial photo from yesterday afternoon before the church was destroyed.
