Another trademark packed weekend away. This time we stayed in Dartmouth, South Devon. A very pretty place on the Dart estuary with lots going on and a ridiculous number of hills!
NB all photos have been tweaked to some extent; mostly just my LX100 preset applied in LR but a few also in Color Efex Pro. I've added "CEP" to the description if they were 'Nik'd'
First we stopped at Killerton House near Exeter: nice landscapes around the house (CEP)

the church had some good carvings:

Then Dartmouth...this is one of the hills we had to walk up and down into town: (NB this is a cheat as it's actually a TZ60 photo!!) (CEP)

There was a rowing race going on in the river one afternoon:

This isn't an accident...the ferry has to push the raft over the river against the flow of the tide. Still looks a bit hair-raising to me!

A view from further down the river back towards Dartmouth. The swan is the prow of a boat stored in the garden of the house

Coleton Fishacre was the country house of the D'Oyly Carte family...

The growth in the garden was stunning for early April, and the views spectacular:

Interesting old kitchen stuff in the house:

Finally, a b/w view of some clouds: (CEP)
