this vacation wasn't going to be about photography for me. I just needed to relax and forget about work and looking after my parents. Here I'll share some snaps I grabbed with my newly acquired little Olympus TG-850 (because everyone should have a camera that goes underwater). I apologize in advance for gratuitous use of art filters. Also, nearly every shot I share here will be SOOC....... this vacation was not about photography and I am treating these just like point and shoot snapshots. I may edit some a later date, but I wanted to share them while they were fresh.
Here's my wife waiting for the ferry to take us from St. Thomas to St. John where we stayed for a week. (dramatic tone filter abuse)

these iguanas hang out by the pool most of the time. I thought the dramatic tone filter made them look more prehistoric.

there were quite a few cats on the grounds of the hotel. This one was pretty friendly and I loved his/her markings

our main goal of the trip was to see a sea turtle (since we had been shut-out on sea turtle sightings on 2 previous trips to Hawaii). We found one on our second day. Adding up everything spent on those 3 vacations means this was one VERY expensive photo.

so the very least I can do is correct the AWB and improve the contrast......

after all that swimming, I was kind of thirsty. One thing I can attest to is that there is no shortage of rum in the Caribbean (although they may be a little low after my visit
).

After a day of playing with the camera in saltwater, it's good to give the camera a good rinse.....
