For my wife's birthday we wanted to do something "special". So what could be better than a visit to Crater Lake? :)
We had booked a 3 day weekend in Bend, Oregon. Drove down to Crater Lake on Friday and spent Saturday hiking in the Three Sister Wilderness (which is close to Bend).

Weather was great, sunny but not too hot.. we had a fantastic time, one of the best weekends of the year :)

Gear-wise it was the same setup that I used in the North Cascades in July (Olympus EM-1 & 14-54mm & 75-300mm and a hiking pole with small ballhead as monopod.)
I only added a good nylon belt to my gear, with water-bottles and lens-switch-case attached.

Hmm, just noticing that Google Chrome on Android cuts off part of the images on the right side.
Is there some way to fix this? Do I need to post images in a certain way? (Using flickrs BBcode at the moment)

Here is a very old photo of Crater Lake in the late spring. There was a lot of snow around and the park lodge was still buried. But the lake looked grand.

It's fun to see these old photos again - and a little bit frustrating 🙃 Seeing what kind of results my "fairly basic" setup from back then got me... (Olympus EM-1 & Oly 14-54mm & Oly 75-300mm)... Not sure why I needed to keep upgrading and upgrading :-D
Agreed, that Crater Lake of mine is from a 2000 Sony DSC S70, CCD and less than 12 MP.
