Today I went out to try this lens but it was rainy and really bad light. I managed to get some shots in a hurry so I upload some pics I took but only for lens evaluation. No composition or artistic means, I was very concerned about getting my NX1100 wet. All are SOOC jpg, no PP at all. I did not play with factory settings yet, so settings are factory ones.

Dreary day ;)
Hope it clears up so you can post more pics without worrying about the camera!

What are your impressions of the lens so far?

In my personal and subjective opinion ita a very good lens and for the price it becomes excellent. As soon as weather allows I'll take other shots and post them.

Hi,

I bought this lens, too. Considering the price it is a real bargain since the lens delivers good image quality and is not too big/heavy for a mirrorless camera.

Here are some example shots:

Just got my 12-24 delivered. Immediate first impression: This thing is tiny! Like 'my Tokina 11-16 had a baby' tiny!

The lens doesn't extend much at all when zooming (very good). Zooms out at 12 and in at 24 but the overall travel of the front is maybe 1/2 inch (12-13mm).

Yes I would take it a little larger with IS or faster apertures but it feels and seems like a well done compromise for size and weight. (I will continue to push for faster glass out of Samsung because it is their true weakness if they want to be taken seriously as a photographer's camera system *climbs down from tiny soapbox) :)
