Fuji 23mm vs 35mm FOV

I had a chance to do my own quick focal length comparison last evening while we waited for the power to come back on. The boys were huddled up with a 4G tablet watching Netflix by a l.e.d. lantern. The last statement being a great example of modern times.

I prefer the 23mm version because the subjects have a more room!

I agree, Mike. Here, the 23mm version is a lot better. The 35mm look's like it's in between the 23mm and a tighter shot of just the boys that the 50mm would give.

I really like the 27 (app 40mm full-frame equiv. FOV). I had the Fuji 35/f2 and sold it because I found it too restrictive, and I have always found the 23 FOV too loose for my taste. YMMV.

Same for me. In the photos above, I prefer the 23mm fov. But in other situations it is the 35. And I have been shooting a lot of portraits with the 35mm f2.

I like the 23 better as it's closer to the 27 which is my favorite.
