Too cool! Beautiful light on the sculpture, and what a great sky! Where/what is the sculpture?

Hi Ruby, and thank you for your comments. The sculpture is in Plymouth (UK) and is located on the end of the Mayflower Pier on Plymouth Barbican. The two piers protecting the entrance to Sutton Harbour weren't actually built until the 1790's so weren't there when the Pilgrim Fathers set sail in the Mayflower, though they embarked from a landing stage very close to this site. The sculpture is probably about 40 feet up in the air and thus several feet high in itself. It's a creature made up of all the sort of marine catch landed at the nearby fish market. Somewhat controversial when first erected but now part of the scene I guess.
