I agree with above. Also, not everyone has the time or temperament to sell individual pieces or collections on internet forum boards or ebay. I have had a lot of success selling through OC Camera. the price paid was worth it to me at the time.....time spent researching and putting in order...

I already made the investment in a Sonnetar.....which is quite quirky but fun. A Voigtlander 50 1.5 is an extremely good lens for the price. It's bigger than a J8 and a Sonnetar....but it is a go to lens.

I got in on a kickstarter campaign for a developer in NY who wrote a program to automatically or manually convert negatives/slides to digital images (soon to be Raw) using apple or android phones. Name is Film Lab and the testers have shown some very nice results and Abe is super responsive...

I have an Ultron 35 1.7 LTM......along with M3DS and M4-P. Obviously frame lines with the M4. Sitting around is a Leica CL and a Minolta CLE....both in terrific working order...if anybody inclined. the Ultron is a fabulous lens and have used on M240. As LTM, useful on Canon P.

HI Carl I wish I could say...very well. I am swamped with work and with wife gone for a while, taking care of house and pets. I practice around the house and garden to be "right" with the unit. Soon though I will gete out.

I did not buy it at initial retail. Substantially discounted. It's quite nice. Image quality no different. In fact hblad engineers altered the firmware some how so it could not be upgraded by Sony.

Presumably your noct sports an ND filter on occasion? Is that one reason to add another stop from 3?

It seems that the most current firmware is 2.0.3.0 date 4/16. After a few tries and attempting to follow instructions.....I was able to successfully install, as seller never updated. I don't know if it made much difference in color rendition on screen. At least the camera worked. CArl's...

Overgaard wrote that it should be set to dng+jpegs fine. It came set to dng only. I assume that any lcd display is an ooc jpeg?

And yes....the seller eventually provided a US AC charging cord. A Leica battery for an m240 costs about the same as a gold brick of similar size.

Read through Overgaard pages on setting up m240. Changed many different settings but colors standard. WB.....best if you use a grey card.....but colors should not be so off imo..... I'm not using ef2...yet but have one for the x vario

Since cameras are now basically computers and linked electronics modules.....Sony definitely has an edge. I was surprised to find out Leica has custom CMOS from Belgium.....that has to increase cost, but it makes sense if you are selling a boutique item and everything tweaked to max. Sony...

As long as the AF tracking is good, it should be a pro level sports/action camera. I did see that AI feeler left off the 7500 although as a camera it's probably very good. However, given their announcements, corner cutting is inevitable and I'm not sure throwing out the backwards...

Learning things I never expected.....

M240 charger does not show those types of ratings.

I believe the M240 battery is more powerful and larger than M8 or M9...so those pieces are not interchangeable.

We certainly do hope there is not digital rot....or worse....no backwards compatibility. Even in the medical imaging business where there are reputedly standards to last (DICOM), there are many variations, versions, and deviations causing migration to newer platforms a potential crisis.
