Since my 1st note I also picked up a Sigma 55-200, which is longer and faster than the 18-180. Focus is dreadful on the m43 gear, expected but disappointing. The 35 macro is nice even in MF though :)

The GM1 sold first, so the NX system will stay with me. Hope to find a 30mm f/2 in a couple of months!

Her white NX300 just didn't look right with the black lenses we own. I found a nice deal on the 16mm f/2.4 in pink, and now we've added a bargain 20-50. New NX may be dead but the gear lives on, occasionaly at really good prices; I'm looking forward to a fire sale on the 30/2 one of these days...

I've ridden one of the rails-to-trails routes in Oregon, and they are talking about a 20+ mile conversion here in the future. No cool buildings that I've heard of though, those make a great photo op! :)

Ironically, of the two defunct ILC formats I preferred the Pentax Q to the Nikon 1. I come from a Pentax dSLR background, so having a menu that was a clone of the K-5 series was really nice; the N1 was a struggle for me to understand.

Quite true that the nx500 is a step up from a camera that's already full of interesting features. Just the other day I finally took a few images with the nx300 from my phone, and later my tablet. Now to learn how far away they can be, so I can spook a few critters in the yard! :eek:

The nx300 pulled me in with uniformly excellent reviews; its sensor is comparable to Sony's 20Mpx at dxo and has on-chip PDAF. But it's true, finding a Samsung-only forum is futile.. But this will do! :D

The 200d came just before K20 and K-7. It's one of two CCD dSLR with weather seals and inside stabilization I think (K10 the other), as Sony's A700 began the CMOS invasion. I just put my K200d up for sale at pentaforums, praps I should add it here too? The K-s2 is in my future unless the s1...

The top feature of the 50-150S is the customized focus limiter. Imagine never focusing on the fence in front of home plate again, or a distant wall behind the play! That alone is worth a few ## and $$..

It's not something I will get for my NX300 with its thin body and grip. If I do buy into Samsung more fully it's pretty high on my list, though I hope it will come down in price by then; I cannot upgrade for several months at least, so I believe I have a decent chance there :)

I went with Samsung nx300 myself with no regrets. A couple native lenses for compact & easy shooting (I really like the 30mm f/2 lens) plus my Pentax primes with focus zoom and peaking. It's a bit larger than my Q but 20Mpx APS.c sensor which is my preferred sensor size. The Olys will serve...

I owned it for a bit but the budget tightened soon after :frown:. It's a very nice lens, and when it costs the same as just two Limited primes that does indeed make a difference. It was definitely a more satisfying lens than the 18-135 copies that I tried.

Ironically, that's the only one I haven't owned! Always liked the idea but never found a price at the right time. Limted lenses are addicting though, that's certain! :thumbup:

My nx300 kit needs a far smaller bag than the K-5 gear used. Right now I am test-driving one of my hydration packs but a bit more foam is in order :confused: we shall see. The 20-50 and 30mm don't need a bag at all, just body plus 50-200 for now. When the adapted Ks come along the bigger bag...

I now have an NX300 with 18-55ois, (LR4 included) in my hot, little hands :wink: for $310 when prices dropped; a couple days later it was $100 more. Definitely a time of great prices for very brief time-spans! The $310 price was in their Warehouse for a cam that may have been used, or...
