Fuji Fuji X30 Announced: Tilt screen, same EVF as X-E2, MANUAL MOVIE CONTROLS!!!!

I am very interested in this new model. I think all the changes are good. I would have liked to see a slightly larger sensor but that didn't happen. I was going to get an X20 but because I only shoot jpegs on compacts I was leery with the noise issue. They fixed that with this new one. They also...

    Fuji Fuji X30 announced

I also don't like my cameras too small. I have larger hands and find small cameras hard to handle at times. I like that they added a larger battery that will give more time shooting. One thing I do not like about my XZ1 is how fast it goes through a battery. I was going to get an X20 when it...

Pentax Best lenses for the Q? - native and adapted.

I just picked up a Q10 zoom kit and so I am limited to that lens for right now BUT what other lenses do you all like on the Q? With the exception of the wide and tele zooms, they seem to be very low in price{and even those are not bad in comparison to other systems}. There are the 3 "toy" lenses...

Pentax The Pentax Q - a real World user review

I just joined the Q owners club! Found a red Q10 zoom kit for $160 and couldn't resist at that price. It will be used for a class I teach in June, kids grade 4-8. However I will give it a thorough testing and will try adapting my Pentax 110 lenses as well as C and D mount.

I just picked up a Q10 kit for $160. Got it mainly for a class I teach for grade school kids but it may prove fun for myself as well.

Pentax Lovin my Pentax Q and adapted Canon Cine lenses...

Thanks super8man! Just picked up a Q10. I bought it mainly for a class I teach, photography for kids grades 4-8. But I have enjoyed adapted lenses on my m4/3 so i figure it might be fun on the Q as well. I will have to keep an eye out for any of these lenses.

Olympus Why no love for the XZ-2, it is a great camera!

I like my XZ1 and wouldn't mind an XZ2 if I found one at a good price. I think the MSRP is too high and even the common street price is more than I will give.

new Lytro with 30-250mm f2.0 lens

I think it is neat and at least this one is a functional camera instead of a square tube thing. I could put it to use for some of the video slide shows I have to make for work{I work in a children's ministry}. I have done the Ken Burns effect which is better than just still, but this gives a new...

    Pentax Q premium kit.

Saw that! Seller from Japan. I can see spending $1200 but not $1800. The thing to do is buy a couple and hold on to them until the rest are sold and then you can ask $1800.

    Pentax Q premium kit.

Ricoh launches the Pentax Q7 Premium Kit. - mirrorlessrumors Pentax has always done these great boxed sets for their camera systems. I remember wanting the Pentax 110 kit so bad when I first started, my first camera was a Kodak 110 Instamatic. Now they have a boxed set for the Q. I doubt I...

Pentax Pentax Q lenses are not serviceable?

Makes sense! The lenses in this system are all simple and low cost so making them in a way that can't be repaired is logical. It is a kind of bummer but that is the way things are these days. As others have said I would image that many repairs would cost more than the lens is worth. I have seen...

Hope I'm not turning into a hipster

Not sure how you came up with this one! I used to have a 1973 F100 4x4 BTW. Depends on the color of your Thruxton. The local dealer has this horrid green with yellow stipped one. Like this one - That jacket would clash with this paint job! Safety yellow would match well though - which is...

Hope I'm not turning into a hipster

I would love to have a Thruxton! The local dealer just started selling Triumph and to be honest I was surprised at how small the classic Triumphs are. They only have one Thruxton in a horrible green color but there are several Bonnevilles and a Scrambler plus an assortment of the modern Triumphs.

Hope I'm not turning into a hipster

I personally hate the term "hipster" and how it is thrown around. If there is some item or way of doing something that you find appealing then it is part of you. That is if your reasons for liking said item/action are not simply to follow a trend. There are many people who are into things not...

News Kodak jumping back into the pool

I wish them luck. I also hope the products are fairly decent in quality. All too often these companies have dreams of importing Asian stuff and selling them hand over fist only to be plagued by poor quality products. If the 400mm tele is cheap enough I may pick one up. The 360 degree video cam...

    Olympus large sensor compact?

I love primes but hate spending $500+ for a camera that is stuck to one. I shoot Nikon and Olympus m4/3 as well and I often take just a prime or two. I understand why some people like this and there are several on the market already. But with the ever shrinking camera market I don't quite...

    Olympus large sensor compact?

I personally don't get the current trend of fixed prime lens cameras. I can see some people wanting them but not to the extent they are being produced. I give extra kudos to Sigma for at least making their's with several focal lengths to choose from. An XZ with a larger sensor{1" or m4/3}...

    Nikon Nikon 1 V3

When it come to price - less is always better! The $899 is simply the $1199 minus $300 for the kit lens{which is it's price}. Of coarse you can always buy the kit and then sell the lens. I bet some will show up on ebay the week after they ship.

Thanks all and about half of you I recognize. Hopefully I will get some time this week to post up some of the pics I have shot on my XZ1. It is a neat little camera and easier to take than any of my m4/3 or Nikon gear. For one thing I don't have to decide which lenses!

    Nikon Nikon 1 Rumours

If you move up to the D7200 you can crop to the same size as the 1" sensor by the push of a button{or a few buttons maybe}. I however do not think $1000 for the new 70-300mm is such a horrible price - high yes but not way out of line. In my mind it should have been $800 or so. I figure that...

    Nikon Nikon 1 V3

I am very interested in this one. The V2 was a dud in many ways, a step back with some specs and of coarse the odd styling. This V3 is very nice looking. The EVF is not great looking but it isn't ugly either and if it works that is what really matters. It sticks up a lot less than the VF2/3/4 on...

    Fuji Are fuji lenses overpriced?

OK so maybe "overpriced" is the wrong word or the wrong way to look at it. However I still think Fuji needs at least one or two budget, entry level lenses. If they make the sale price of $199 for the 27mm the new MSRP then they would have one. I would suggest that the two kit lenses also be...

Fuji Adapted lenses on X-mount bodies???

Perhaps if you get super technical about their performance. However I have had this debate before and even used to think this way. UNTIL a friend bought some Zeiss lenses for his Nikon. We put them head to head against similar NIkkors. After shooting some test charts and doing pixel peeping we...

    Fuji Are fuji lenses overpriced?

I guess it is just me then. I do agree that skimping isn't good but the two kit lenses are twice as expensive{or more} than other brands. From all I have read on these lenses they are not much better if any than other brand kit lenses. Those two plus the 27mm f2.8 should be around $200 IMHO...

Fuji Adapted lenses on X-mount bodies???

Thanks to everybody who has responded. Glad to know that it can be used in aperture priority mode as that is my preferred setting. I am now very seriously considering getting an X-T1 to use with adapted lenses. I can't get excited about the Fuji lenses however, many are overpriced and the list...

    Fuji Are fuji lenses overpriced?

Is it just me or does it seem like most of the Fuji X lenses are overly expensive? In most systems there are a few entry level lenses for $200 or less but in the X-lens lineup the cheapest lenses are $400. I know there are some current rebates going on but I am talking MSRP. A few of the higher...

Fuji Adapted lenses on X-mount bodies???

Thanks for the answers so far. Fuji Adapted lenses on X-mount bodies???

Is anybody using adapted, legacy lenses on an X-Mount body? I am so tempted to get one of the new X-T1s but I would primarily use it with my Nikkor lenses. Fuji Fujifilm Announces the X-T1

I am so tempted! I really like the design, size and features of this camera. It isn't perfect but no camera ever is. I just don't think I want to get into yet another camera system. However if I win the lottery this camera and some lenses will be one of the first things purchased!

Fuji First image of the X-T1. Thoughts?

ARGH! I want one but I just don't want to get into yet another system. I love the new split view function for manual focus, at least in theory.
