I have been scanning with an Epson v550... I like the quality i have been getting out of it and it does MF to boot! Got a deal on it on ebay for $100... Can't beat that.. I think eventually i will move up to the v700 or 800 series if this film affair continues.. boy my m43s are pissed at me!

I just sold one of my GX7s… Now I have a Silver/black GX7 & Olympus E-P5… I will probably keep the one that doesn't sell for those times I need a digital and the iPhone won't cut it! Won't be completely out of the digi game, but keep a small kit around. My guess the GX7 will go before the EP5...

Hi... Yeah they return your negs cut, or if you dont want them cut you can probably request that. The scans that I have gotten from them are about 10mp... I think thats medium to high... If you have film to push or pull process they are the ones.. No extra charge for that. Hope that helps!

Arista was a rebrand of Tri-X… They still have Arista EDU Ultra 100 which is FOMAPAN 100 Classic and they also have a 400 speed film..

Would this be the model you recommend to buy?

I think the rule is for every decade one stop... I have some real old expired stuff in the freezer that I stored last year after finding it at my parents house. Will see how it holds up when I shoot it!

If you like Ektar and TMAX, Amazon usually has them for under $5 a roll with a $25 purchase.. As I usually buy a lot from Amazon this is a no brainer.. I like both film types!

I have bought it from so many different sources.. but by far the best deals for me have been eBay and Amazon. I have also bought from Freestyle Photo. Local camera shows have also been a great place to find low cost name brand film.
