Yep that was just a slow shutter speed, loads of folks were moving quick through the concourse so set the shutter low to capture some movement. I set the camera down on a wall to keep it steady. ps If you load Photomatix, the pre-set on the right called 'Creative' was the start point I used...

Hi Marcos, I've just loaded Photomatix Pro 5 today, the last set are processed from raw using there tone mapping and presets, then just fine tuning. It's good for me as I'm not that good at post processing. They have a stand alone trial version or plug-ins to try out on their website...

Yep It's so wired how it's growing on me too, seems small at first but after a few days of seeing what it can do it becomes a very likable thing indeed. just hope I can do it justice!

I think I will be keeping the X100 R Malanson, it's been a great camera and probably due to the size and quality used the most over other kit I've had in the past. Consequently it's been knocked around a little and probably wouldn't fetch much secondhand. Lost the lens cover last month joy...

Thanks for the replies folks! I have to agree with a lot of you on the issue of no viewfinder on the RX1, it's been my one main issue causing all sorts of lines of thought to how I will get on with the stand alone body. Even justifying the viewfinder as some sort of comfort blanket to hide...
