To elaborate a bit, manual focus is the way to go for videography, even on an Arri. The RX1 problem is that you can't see well enough to perform the focusing precisely. A suggestion to Sony might be to switch on a magnification square during recording. This is really easy to implement in... -

I just got an RX1 after much deliberation. I had sold my 5D MarkII system looking for a full frame that would actually allow me to focus :), and couldn't decide for a while. Then I said what the heck. It will be small enough that I'll use it more often. So here I am, not disappointed at all...
