You are going to have to block the vent holes on the Fuji lens hood to keep stray light from entering from behind the filter. You might try a 40mm (Not 40.5) step up ring like this one.

So far most of the comments about the X20 that I have seen are about the image quality and AF speed. The image quality comments seem to be "about like the X10" and the AF speed "much better".

On the last camera I owned if you set the ISO to auto the camera would always choose the lowest possible ISO at the expense of shutter speed. Does the X10/X20 stabilization work like that or will it opt for a higher ISO to keep the shutter speed up?
