No Unfortunately the micro usb jack is slightly different. It is the same size but the 2013 version has little bumps on the jack to prevent inserting it in the RX100 - bummer wonder what would happen if I filed off the little bumps? It would go in the jack port

I have just ordered an rx100 and currently also have the sony hx300 super zoom which has a micro multi usb terminal into which the new remote fits allowing zoom and shutter release Does anyone know if the rx100 will accept this slightly newere sony tech?

Weird 1st question as my 1st question but can the shutter speed for stills be set at 1/250 while maintaining a nice 1/60 for video so that while shooting a sporting event, the video will be nice and fluid while the shutter speed at 1/250 will reduce the motion blur alot in the stills
