Same feelings about the FE55. Its technically very good, but that lack of character in most cases and lack of the tactile engagement doing MF has made me put it aside in preference of just any other 50mm that I have. I just keep it for the AF in case I get lazy (so far that has not happened)...

16-35/4 looks ok to be considering its a f4 and spans 16-35mm. Most Canikon or even 3rd party options in this FL range are not small at all. The rest of the lenses look real big and defeats the purpose of the system imo. That said, there are RF options that are small and work. The CV21/1.8...

I find that the combi of a small general coverage Q7 system and a high detail camera like the DP1m (or GR) makes for a good light travel setup. The high detail camera does the landscapes, etc that might go for large prints later, the Q does all the other stuff (good to A4 prints anyway)...
