    Fuji Confession Time

Messed up a vast number of shots with bad WB before I understood and learned. Then attended a family function as the "official" photographer secure in the knowledge that "Well, I won't do THAT again." Set custom white balance on arrival, in the foyer before my "official" entrance, and once...

    Fuji Getting ready.

I haven't been aware of your mobility issue but I'm happy to hear about the improvement. Judging by these photos you are certainly in a good frame of mind now, and framing great images to reflect it. I've been suffering some (minor, compared to yours) pain and mobility issues with arthritis...

I think my camera GAS has resurfaced in disguise.

Between Self and Wife we went through Samsung Galaxy S4-5-6, each with a better camera than the previous. I also looked quite seriously at the S7 and S8, each better again. Now I have a Huawei P10+ with Leica-branded sensors (PLURAL!) that blends data from 2 lenses, one 20mp sensor and one...

    Fuji Let's Talk 18mm f2.0

Thanks for the examples. I guess I haven't learned enough to judge IQ, those look good enough to satisfy me. Small size is nice in a lens and camera, but IQ and usability are top of my list. And right now, maybe versatility as I'm trying to decide my next purchase. I have 10-24, 16-50...

    Greeting Camerads!

Here from FujiXspot. Recently retired, getting a little more serious about a longtime hobby, struggling a little with osteoarthritis and a bad disc. Fujifilm X-T2, a few Fujinon lenses, a bit of other stuff. Shooting a little everything - landscape, macro, pets, family, architecture. No selfie...

All the BEST Tony! I'm doing the same with business-related stuff, but still collecting photo gear. ENJOY!

    Fuji Updates

Based on discussions by Fuji Guys at promotion events for the X-H1, one major reason for the larger size of the X-H1 is a larger heat sink to dissipate extra heat generated when using the H1's faster frame rate. (Other reasons are the IBIS system and, to a lesser extent, ergonomics.) This...

Fuji advice or guides for novice, easy settings to use X-M1 in bright sunshine?

Suggestions only (going through the menus): Auto ISO set to 100 default (for the beach of course), 800 max for indoors (though I got some great shots at 1600 and 3200), shutter 1/60 or 1/80. Face detection ON for the nephews. Any of the focus modes (probably except manual) could work...

Fuji Nikon SB-27 is a great flash for Fuji X100 cameras

Looks like a good find. Presumably will work on other Fuji models too - experimenters and testimonials needed!

    Arizona Dessert

Right, I'd forgotten, haven't been there in years. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is amazing. Dessert in the desert is absolutely correct.

    Fuji Which Zoom?

Speaking from very little experience, but the 2 lenses I use most are the 55-200 (what @Bernie Gibson says) and the 10-24. The former overlaps the 100-400, but it is a lot smaller. The 10-24 covers the focal length of your 18mm plus more on both sides. I'm quite happy with sharpness and focus.

    Evening walk in East-Iceland

Everyone I meet who has been to Iceland raves, and your pictures speak even more loudly! Nice shots! I just read that it is becoming both more popular and more expensive a destination, possibly soon to become more expensive with new "tourism taxes" in order to somewhat reduce the number of...

    Fuji Colour or B&W?

Same as others. For me it's the sunshine on the left bank. It comes through instantly in the moss, trees and shrubs, then you notice the red lamp posts on the right, then other subtler colours. So there's just more to appreciate in the colour.

Fuji Showcase Fuji XF 23mm f/2 WR

A beautiful showcase, thank you. I'm pretty happy with my zooms, but this lens is top of my list for my probable first prime and these shots pretty much have me convinced. Hoping for an income tax refund!

    Fuji Moving forward in reverse

Thanks @BobbyT My experience (limited) and future plans are very different from yours, but your reasoning helps me understand my own preferences. I have reaffirmed my satisfaction with my X-T2, 10-24, and 55-200. Still thinking about my other 2 lenses, but your thought processes are helpful.

    A cliché, but I couldn't resist...

It's a Fargo (Dodge) truck approximately 1939, in the Distillery District, Toronto, Canada. The largest distillery in the world for a time in the late 1800's and early 1900's, the site was abandoned in 1990 then restored and re-opened in 2001 as a centre for art, dining, small theatre, and...

    Fuji Fuji Remote App

Thanks for the tips. I've used the app a few times, though never in a really critical situation nor with significant WiFi competition. Worked well for me, though several times I captured myself looking down at the app - gotta work on knowing just where the shutter is, so I don't have to look.

    Fuji X-T2 ??? Where's the chatter?

I haven't done much yet as I'm in pain with a slipped disk and pinched nerve, but a few observations: - For some reason all the controls are exactly where I want them. I used to fumble occasionally with my X-T1. Maybe just my imagination, or paying better attention to the new toy?? - The...

Fuji Problem of the tripod socket

This also irritates me on my X-M1, but I can confirm that there is no problem with the X-T2. I have 3 different plates, 2 of them Arca Swiss compatible, and none of them interfere with the battery compartment.
