Speaking from very little experience, but the 2 lenses I use most are the 55-200 (what @Bernie Gibson says) and the 10-24. The former overlaps the 100-400, but it is a lot smaller. The 10-24 covers the focal length of your 18mm plus more on both sides. I'm quite happy with sharpness and focus.

Same as others. For me it's the sunshine on the left bank. It comes through instantly in the moss, trees and shrubs, then you notice the red lamp posts on the right, then other subtler colours. So there's just more to appreciate in the colour.

Thanks @BobbyT My experience (limited) and future plans are very different from yours, but your reasoning helps me understand my own preferences. I have reaffirmed my satisfaction with my X-T2, 10-24, and 55-200. Still thinking about my other 2 lenses, but your thought processes are helpful.

I don't have Rico's book, but I can recommend Tony's and the Friedman Archives. Fuji updates the camera, Tony updates the book.

Thanks for the tips. I've used the app a few times, though never in a really critical situation nor with significant WiFi competition. Worked well for me, though several times I captured myself looking down at the app - gotta work on knowing just where the shutter is, so I don't have to look.

I asked Fuji Canada reps the same question in person at the official Toronto announcement in July and got the same answer, also confirmed subsequently by my dealers.

This also irritates me on my X-M1, but I can confirm that there is no problem with the X-T2. I have 3 different plates, 2 of them Arca Swiss compatible, and none of them interfere with the battery compartment.
