It's about using the right tool for the right job. ACR/LR did not do a good job of rendering foliage, leaves, fine tree branches very well for a long time. The current versions LR CC 2015.6.1 seems to do a better job but I still prefer Iridient.

"Mushy green" foliage, leaves, grass, etc is not the fault of the camera; it's the fault of flawed RAW demosaicing algorithms for converting X-trans RAF files. Use Capture One Pro, Photo Ninja, or Iridient Developer and there are virtually no problems.

Really nice shots, Ian! I tried the wide tracking for some shots at the Indy Car race at Sonoma Raceway last weekend; it worked *okay* but not great. It did not lock focus well when the race cars were still pretty far away, it would lock on the dark track instead. This could be "hot track"...

Fully agree, Ian. I just got my X70 last weekend. I've been reviewing images on my 27" Retina iMac 5K display, and to say I am very impressed with the image quality would be an understatement. Here a few from the Good Guys Hot Rod show at the Alameda County Fairgrounds (Pleasanton, CA, USA).

I'm sticking with Iridient; I'm very happy with the conversions I get from it. It's important to remember that you can tweak a number of sharpening algorithms to get the results to you want. Capture One Pro is also excellent, at least for X-Pro1, X100T or X-T1 files.
