Got a new toy: Commlite's Pro adapter for connecting Nikon AF-S lenses to Sony FE; in spite of the strange setup it may at first look like, I decided to go all in with a pretty big lens that I know to be a bit fickle at times: the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art. And truth be told, I had a blast - it was so much fun that I have to test the lens on the D750 again to find out if my recollections of it feeling a bit unwieldy on that body are accurate. The images turned out okay - but more to the point, pretty much as I expected from having seen them in the EVF. Quite intriguing ... darktable doesn't offer auto-correction for that combo, so I left in the quite severe vignette that resulted from gratuitously shooting wide open (I did it on purpose - just because I could ...).
